I have been searching for some information on my great grandfather whose name was Louis Napoleon Cervoni (alternate spelling is Chervoni). He is somehow related to the Bonapartes, I think as a cousin. I don't know where the Cervoni comes in as I cannot find any information on him. He immigrated to Puerto Rico during his adulthood. If anyone knows of where I can do some research or is related to Cervoni's from Corsica and/or Bonapartes, I would appreciate some help. Thanks. Lori

I heard fom my cousin that years ago in Yauco, Puerto Rico there lived a Cervoni who was called "el corso Cervoni". He was buried with the French flag. I know that the Antonmarchi and Paoli were related to Napoleon Bonaparte. There is also a Bonaparte family here, but I do not know where.
Napoleon's personal phyician Dr. Francesco Antonmarchi was exiled to Puerto Rico.

Do you have any other information on the Antonmarchi's. My great grandparent was Jesus Amadeo Antomarchi and I have always heard that there was some relation to Napoleon Bonaporte, but I though it was just a story someone made up. His mother was from Coamo.

The Antonmarchi from Yauco, PR have told me that they descend from Dr. Francesco Antonmarchi, Napoleon's personal physician. He was exiled to Puerto Rico

Did Dr. Antonmarchi in Cuba leave any descendants. The earliest Antonmarchi in Puerto Rico was Luis Antonmarchi who may have been Francoise Antonmarchi's brother.
I also have in my family line the Laffitte family from Santiago de Cuba, whose descendants migrated to Ponce, Puerto Rico c. 1897. These Laffffite descend from Pierre, brother of the pirate Jean Lafitte from New Orleans, LA. Another line migrated to San Juan in 1960 after Castro came to power.

Hi Lorraine!

I have the same great grandparents! My grandfather was Luis Cervoni and my dad is his son!

This tool is amazing, thus, I was just figuring out the lineage going back to France. I am blown away, hopefully we can collaborate.

You can also find me on Facebook under Michael Cervoni in Murrieta, CA!

Hurry.....let's figure out if we are related to Jean!

There is no family relation between the Cervoni and the Bonaparte Families. The families were just friends and a member of the Cervoni Family was a General in Napoleon's Army as well as a lover to Napoleon's sister Pauline. That is all.
