I have just received my great great uncle's death certificate. After staring for years at his grave in Mt. Olivet, Detroit, I had always thought it was so sad that he died so young in 1923. Wondering, I ordered his death certificate. I could NOT believe my eyes. He was married!! No one in my family has known or ever mentioned his wife, Cecilia Ostrowska who, at the time of filing this death certificate, lived at 3129 Boulevard Court in Detroit. She stated that her husband, Walter (Wladislav MALINOWSKI) worked as a coremaker at Boon Foundry. He was born in 1879 (I do have a photo of him with his sisters in 1904). This means Cecilia is not too far behind in age. Anyone? Most likely she re-married but I would love to find out if there were children (FAMILY!).

I have not heard the name Cecilia Ostrowski, however I have been trying to find more Ostrowski information. Do any of these names mean anything to you? They are all also from the Detroit area.

Mary Ostrowski married Walter Frahm and their daughters were: Betty Jane, Alice Mary and Dorothy.

My relatives have lived in the Detroit area for many years also.
I'm working on a family tree now.

My mother-in-law remebers going to the Detroit area to visit Ostrowski family. The Listzwan family arrived in US 1909. Jospehine Ostrowski Listzwan and her husband settled in Proctor, Rutland, Vermont. Her brothers Vincent and Kazimir also settled there. They worked in the Vermont marble mines.

I have 2 Cecelia Ostrowski in my family tree. One born 1913, one born 1928, in the Detroit area. Let me know if you're still looking.
