I am looking for George W. Starr who married Sarah R. Holliday. Their first child, John Calvin Starr, was born in 1859. He is my gggrandfather. They lived in Corydon, Iowa for awhile then moved to Revere, Clark county Missouri. GW would have been born, in my opinion, between 1835 -1840.

I do have a George Washington Starr but he was killed in the Civil War, from what I have been told. His father was Peter Starr.

I have a Washington Starr, born Abt. 1833 in Ohio, living in Wayne County, Cambridge Township, on the 1850 Indiana Census. Son of John and Hannah Starr from VA, brother Zacariah age 21, Dow, age 19. Next household over my GGG Grandfther Levi P Starr age 26, and his wife Sarah. In Levi's obit, it mentions he has one surviving brother George, I believe that Washington is short for George Washington Starr. All the children of John Starr and Hannah Price listed were born in Ohio. John was a vetern of the War of 1812, and I am pretty sure that all the Starr brother listed enlisted in the Civil War. I have more info, willing to share if you think this is a connnection contact me. Sheri in Warsaw, Indiana
