My ancestors are Myricks from Wales. My cousin, now in her seventies did a great deal of research on this family, discovering that they arrived in the U.S. on the Good Ship James in the 17th century. She traced her family of Myricks through many generations to Duluth, MN and then to Canada. She and my mother are the last generation of Myricks in this family, being only daughters of two Myrick brothers.

Do you have the descendants of Daniel Charles Myrick and Anne Priscilla Eacott listed in the Myrick family tree which you have? I am looking in particular for death details of John Myrick who died as the result of a railroad accident in 1887. He left behind a wife and two daughters (Mable and Mirtle).
Is the research you have (back to the 1500's) your own research?

Were any of your Myrick ancestors from VA, NC, TN, KS?
Mine ended up in VA in the 1600's, they were planters.
From Kansas my grandfather went to Washington state and his brother to Idaho in the late 1800's. I was born and raised in Tacoma WA and seven years ago I remarried and moved to Oregon. I know there was a Myrick in Eugene, an organist.
I did write to him but he wasn't related.
Please reply. Thanks.

Hello Marallyn,

Please accept my apoligies for not answering your enquiry sooner.
My ancestors originated in New York and Vermont.

I am descended from the William branch of the Myricks (See pages 36 - 37, 48, 66 - 67 of George Byron Merrick's "Genealogy of the Merrick / Mirick / Myrick Family of Massachusetts 1636 - 1902")

Rush 8, Ira 7, Barnabas / Bezaleel 5, Barnabas 4, Joshua 3, William 2, William 1

My great-grandfather was Rush; born in La Crosse, Wisconsin (founded by his Uncle Nathan Myrick); lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Canada; retired to California.
