I just found a person on my mom's matches and also my dad's matches. This has got to be a mistake right.

Not necessarily. Both of your parents could be distantly related to the same person by DNA but not be related to each other.

Thanks ... this person who I talk to and we are trying to figure out how. She shows up on my dad's as a 4th cousin and on mine as a 4th cousin and my mothers as a distant cousin.

I think this may be a glitch of some sort. I have several of my matches show up on my wife's match list and we are not related, however the ones on her list are clearly related to me, so I believe my results are being posted to her kit since I administer both.
