i have a copy of Frank Malcolms Death Certificate....
Written to me by Ruby Mae (Malcolm) Harvey, She is Milen Levi Malcolms Daughter..... "Ella, Carol and I will be in Deadwood in September so maybe we can find out some info while there. I have no other information on Frank Malcolm other that what you have put in the computer. If we can locate a death certificate in Deadwood maybe that would have some info. By Teresa Inez Malcolm..... Death certificate was sucessfully ordered and recieved by Ruby Mae (Malcolm) Harvey in August of 2004. It gives Franks Fathers name and birthplace, Mothers Maiden name, and Frank s birth place. Frank was in Blacktail Gulch when he died, and An informant on the certificate named/signed Mike Malcolm has the address of Blacktail. Copy of certificate in picture file.

Teresa, just a bit of infor I thought you might find interesting.
while we were in Deadwood I looked up the name Malcolm and
found 3 in Rapid City and one in Sturgis. So I wrote to each of
them and sent a copy of the death certificate. I heard back
from a Kirk Malcolm. He said he was not related to the Mike
Malcolm on the death certificate but he said that his grand
fathers name was George and that he was born in Wick Scotland.
One of the other names I wrote too was his mother but she
died in July of this year. We had a great time on our road trip
but very tired when we got home. We drove 1700 miles.

Edward would have been George's father. Milan's dad, George, was (I think) born in Illinois. Didn't you say the George you found was married to a Thomas (no first name). In my search to find out who George's father was, I found an Edward. There was no information on him...just that he was George's father.
I am still at a loss as to how to find out more about Edward. Maybe it was the wrong name. I don't know. I have found some discrepencies in regards to my father's birth year....some say 1928 when in reality he was born in 1927.

He was born in 1835 and married a woman by the last name of Thomas. She supposedly died in childbirth. He had been married twice prior as stated in my great aunt's memoirs. My great grandfather was Milan Thomas Malcolm from Glaesburg, Illinois. Born around 1861 or 1862. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Margaret Malcolm Jeremiason is my grandmother. Unfortunately, she passed away this spring at he ripe old age of 92. If you are Guy's great-granddaughter, then we are something like second or third cousins. My grandmother had one son, Charles Jeremiason, who lives in San Diego. I'm in Pinole, California. I have a ton of family history. Mostly the Underwood side (Bertha's Father)of the family though. Milan was born in Galesburg, IL on Aug 17, 1862 to George Malcolm (Born 1835) and a woman named THOMAS (Born 1835). I can't find any other information on him. Grandma described her father as a drifter and apple picker.He would come and go and leave the farming to Bertha adn the kids. Thats how he ended up in Nevada City with his son's. His profession was a Millwright and he built mines in South Dakota before farming in Nisland, SD. I am intersted in Guy Malcolm since I am also a cop. I have seen one or two pictures of him in uniform when he was Sheriff of Lasen or Shasta County. Anyway look forward to hearing from your soon....
