Hello 3rd Cousin, twice removed! lol

I think you are the son of Daisy Melvany Burton, the grandson of William Walters (W.W.) Burton, and the great greatson of German Francis Burton. German Francis Burton is the brother of Peyton Thompson Burton, my ggg grandfather. Is that right?

Let me know if I can help you in any way. Also, let me know if there is some reunion I should attend!

Shirley,
I have a great deal on the Burton family of Abbeville county, and some may have lived in Anderson. My mother was a Burton before she married. She was born and raised in Lowndesville,SC. Tell me which Burtons you are looking for. I have a Peter S. Burton. He was my ggggrandfather. He married Margaret Barnes or Burnes. He was Born 1801 Jun 6. He died 1861 Mar 7. Is this the same one? If not there is another Peter Burton. I have a book full of stuff and names of those who have helped me along the way. The Greenville County Library downtown has some good stuff. Let me know.
