Hi everyone,

Was wondering if any NJ Shinn decendants have done the ancestryDNA yet? My 4x great grandfather was Isaac Shinn born in Vincentown. I have been unable to find out who his parents were. I did the DNA hoping to find clues, but haven't gotten any Shinn matches yet.

I do not know of any Shinn from the NJ area having a DNA
analysis. I have, however, and you should be able to view
it from my posted familt tree on ancestry.com.
I would be curious to find out if/how we may be related.
Like you, I trace my tree back to the Shinns of NJ.

Is James Shinn and Abigail Lippincott on your direct line? Interestingly, I have found 2 matches so far that have those same people in their line. Could be a clue!
