Born abt 1753; "of" Middleborough, Massachusetts. Married Ruth Dean(e)in New Gloucester, Me 1788. Children Anna; Celia; Clarissa; Cyrus; Henry; Jacob Dean; John; Leonard; Mary Staples; Ruth; Samuel and Esther all born in Hebron. Samuel and Ruth lived long life and buried on farm in Oxford county. If you haven't already done so, check out "Annals of Oxford" by Marquis F. King. Pages 148-149 have a synopsis of his life and children. Not much about his earlier ancestry, but there may be clues. Many other references to Browns in this book, which may also be helpful. This book is available online.
