I am trying to trace my grandfathers family. All i know about him was that he was born in Brisbane Queensland Australia in 1898.His father was Andrew Reid who was a farmer, his mother was Eleanor Reid nee Skevington. He was said to have had a twin sister.I think the family must have emmigrated to NZ sometime after 1898.Have you come across any of these names.

Sorry have not been able to tie into the line that went to the Queensland area but perhaps someday. The entire Reid line must have named at least one son in each generation Andrew, so this does make it difficult tofollow. Maybe someday we can find a tie in, but as of yet, nadda. Sorry

Ooopsldidn't finish before posting.

Do you have any spouses for your Georges? Have so many George Reids in the Gwinnet Co., area, it is hard to tell them apart by names. The same with the Samuels.

No, No wife-I found him in 1870 with Nancy A thought she was Wife-he was 84 and she was 49
Nancy could be Wife-but I think she is his Daughter

Looking at the 1800's census but it appears there was a female closer to his age but no name

Sorry about not including enought info. John B Haney was born in N. C. about 1796 and Charlotte Reede, born about 1800 in Georgia, married in Putnam Co., Georgia in 1817. They stayed in Gwinnett Co., Georgia until after 1860 census. I cannot find either death dates or any form of will. I am looking for John's father and siblings in Georgia and North Carolina.
Thanks for any help.
