Looking for any information about the Bohemians living in the Cobb - Highland area during the 1860's and 1870's - especially any that immigrated from the area around Caslav, Bohemia. Gg-grandfather, Vaclav Beranek came to Cobb in 1862 with children Katherina, Mary, Jan and Joseph. His wife Anna Volencova died in Bohemia before they left, and his daughter Barbara came with her husband Karel Wesely in 1864 to Cobb and about 10 years later, they resettled in eastern Nebraska. Katherina Beranek married Andreas Fritsch and remained in the Cobb area with descendants today still in that area. Mary Beranek married Frank Otradovsky and they came to Nebraska in the 1870's. Jan Beranek married Albina Vopalensky in 1870 and moved to Nebraska. My g-grandfather Joseph Beranek married Katerina Ruzicka in Eden Township of Iowa County in 1880 before coming to Nebraska. Looking for any information about her family. Her marriage license showed her parents were John and Marie Ruzicka, though I don't believe they ever came to America. She came to the Cobb area in 1874 with ?brother/uncle? Albert Ruzicka and his wife Anna and their son Frank. Especially interested finding out more about Albert Ruzicka and his descendants.

My grandfather was a Fritsch/Schreiber descendent. Iwould like to know more about his family. Andreas Nikol Fritsch was my great-great grandfather. In my information I had His wife's name as Katerina Berankova. Any information you have would be appreciated.

I do have some information for you, I believe - however, my main computer has died so I can't get at it today. My husband is working hard to get our computer up and running again. When he does, I'll be back in touch.

I do have another 2 generations back from Andreas Nikol FRITSCH. His father was Johann Nichol FRITSCH b. 08 Jun 1794 in Degenreuth, Rehau, Bavaria, died in Iowa County, WI. He married Susanna Barbara WOHLFAHRT. She was born 05 Sep 1795 in Rehau, Bavaria.
Johann's parents are Johann Michael FRITSCH and Barbara. I don't have any dates for them.
Susanna's parents are Johann Casper WOHLFAHRT and Catharina Sophia Johanna ANGERMANN. Again, I don't have any dates for them.
I do have quite a bit of information on Andreas' brother, George Chrisopher FRITSCH, and his descendants. Please write to me at rmunns at uwalumni.com (replace the "at" with the correct symbol) if you would like that information. I would really appreciate information on Andreas' descendants! I only have a few children and spouses names for him.

Thanks,
Roxanne

I too am a descendant of Andreas Fritsch from the Iowa Co area. His daughter Katharine married Charlie Draves and lived in Montfort. Their daughter Kathryn married George W Grunenwald and lived in Livingston. Their daughter Alice married Fred Lickel and lived in Lancaster, and their oldest son Fred Lickel Jr is my father. So I think that makes me the ggg-granddaughter of Andreas and Katherina Fristch. Alice is still alive and living in Lancaster. Her two sisters are also still alive and live in Wisconsin.
How exciting to discover all of these descendants!
