I am researching primarily the Wegner, Romig, Riess, Rausch, Lemke and Zenke names. All have ties to the Jefferson County, Wisconsin area, mostly through migration from Pomerania and other area of Prussia (Riess's from Bavaria). Looking for new info and willing to share what I have. cheers, Andy Wegner, E-mail: awegner@prodigy.net@prodigy.net

I have a lot of information on these surnames from church records in Pommern, Prussia; which is now part of Poland. They were given to me by another researcher. Many members of these families settled around Dodge/Jefferson counties and contain many surnames I recognize as being associated with the area. I will check for your surnames. I would also be intereste in your Knuth families.

My Knuths descend from Wilhem Knuth, son of Friederich Knuth and Johanne Pagel daughter of Martin (Henry) Pagel. They were married on Valentine's day in 1864 at the Evanelical Lutheran Church of Rottnow, Pommern. The were both residents of Oak Grove, Wisconsin when the died in the 1924 and 1932 respectively. Their children included: Bertha Caroline Wilhelm Knuth who married her cousin Herman Gustav Sell, and lived in Concord for sometime; Emilie Wilhelmine, Carl Friedrich Wilhelm, Albert August Berthold, Ernst Freiderich Wilhelm, and Auguste Wilhelmin Albertine, all born in various parts of Pommern.

Do you have any record of a Friedrich Segebarth married to a Wilhelmine Sell? Their daughter, Bertha Therese Auguste Segebarth was born 24 Dec 1862 in Groß Moitzow, Kreis Greifenberg, Pommern married my great-great uncle, Carl Voigt. They immigrated to Kossuth County, Iowa in 1887. I don't know about any Sell families but their were Voigt relatives in the Watertown area.
