My gggrandmother was a Angeline Angelo (b.1813:d.1888). She was born and died in PA. She married a Samuel P. Miller (b.1813:d.1892). In the 1820 Crawford Co Censue there is a James Angelo,a James Angelo Jr, and a Okenas. Would anyone have any knowledge of this family?

My husband descends from James Angelo of Crawford County, Pennsylvania. James was born abt. 1767 in Gloucester Co., NJ and settled in Crawford County abt. 1810. I do not list Angeline in any of my records but e-mail me if you would like more information. There has to be a connection there somewhere.

Good Luck and Happy Holidays!!!

Hi Laura:

I just found out via a death certificate that my gggrandmother was a Angeline
ANGELO (b.1813:d.1888). She married my gggrandfather Samuel P. Miller
(b.1813:d.1892), in Crawford County, PA.

She is buried at the cemetery in Espyville, PA, not too far from where they lived.

After finding articles in Surname Helper, some things started to materialize.
Samuel and Angeline's first 2 children (Jacob Lucinda), were born in IL,
according to PA Census. Then they came back and spent the rest of their
lives in Crawford CO, PA.

It would appear that my Samuel followed the family to IL when they left PA in
1832. They either married in PA before leaving or after arriving there.

The URL for more about the ANGELOs in IL is as follows:

I'd like to continue exploring this with you and would appreciate any information you would be willing to share.

James Angelo settled in Morgan County, Illinois in 1832 with his 2nd wife and their 7 sons. Three sons from his first marriage settled in Morgan County in about 1817. Okenas, Benjamin and John Angelo. James was first married to Mary (Polly) Hulins and together they had 10 children. With 17 children his descendants have to be numerous. E-mail me at LAn3408320@aol.com when you can and we can see about exchanging some more information.
Have a Happy Holiday!!!

I think I'm descended from Okenas's daughter Elizabeth (Betsy). Family records have her born in PA in 1824. Does this fit in? I'd love to hear more about this family.

Hello,

Looking for information on Frank Angelo (born about 1899) and married to Ida Butcher on July 17, 1915 in Morgan County, IL. Frank supposedly passed away in 1970 and Ida in 1974.

Do they have any descendants?
