Kimble Family

I am the daughter of Clarence "Tut" Kimble, Jr. born in Phoenix, Louisiana (eastbank of Plaquemines). I am interested if anyone can tell me information on my great grandmother Theresa (Therese) Martin Kimble Gravolet. She was married to my great grandfather, Charles Bruce Kimble (which I can find no information on- they divorced and he moved away). She later remarried Senator Joseph Dennis Gravolet but I am not sure the date of when they married. If anyone knows, please respond.

Thanks, Angele Kimble Rogers

It's possible the Archives would have divorce records, it's something to check out.

1920 census Joseph D Gravolet was living with his brother
they married between 1920 & 1930
when Joseph D Gravolet & Theasa are on the 1930 census
I checked Gravolet from 1906 to 1927, could be just not listed or they married someplace else.

Maybe someone else can help, did not find anything so good luck in your search

From the Sunday, June 6, 1920 Times-Picayune, page 4:

Gravolet - Martin

Joseph D. Gravolet of Phoenix, Plaquemines parish, and Mrs. Theresa Martin (Kimble) were married Thursday by Judge S.D. Gowland of St. Bernard.

I can send you a .pdf file of this if you want.

I also found obituaries for Theresa Martin Kimble Gravolet and Joseph Gravolet, and two articles about Charles B. Kimble - one from 1908 where he was stabbed and one from 1911 where his foot was crushed in an accident.

I can email these to you.
