Burial Records

My great-grandfather, Peter Louis Anderson, died aboard a ship on the Mississippi River near nine mile turn in 1900. The 1900 census shows that they lived in Ward 4, House 82/83, Plaquemines Parish. If they were Lutheran, where would he have been buried? I cannot find any burial records for him. Thank you for any help.

Have you a copy of his newspaper obit? It may have where he is buried.

I found the following...

Anderson, Peter
Death date: 1900-06-16
Age: 45 years
Sex: M
Obituary citation(s):
# Times Democrat, 1900-06-17, Pg. 3 col. 6

Here is a website with Plaquemines Parish cemeteries...

Good luck on your search.

Yes, I do have the obit. It doesn't mention a burial place. Thank you. I fear it may have been in a cemetary that has been washed away.
