Would anyone know where I can find the passenger list for the "Ambassadress" sailing on the 23 May 1849. Left Liverpool for NYC. I believe my GG-Grandfather sailed on this ship. His name John DOMSOVAN, I would like to know if any other ancestor's were also on this ship.
Thank you.

Did you find the Ambassadress passenger list? If not, I can direct you to it. One of my ancestors was also on this ship. Incidentally, 23 May 1849 is the arrival date in New York; the ship sailed from Liverpool, or at least the passenger list was dated, 3 May 1849. The 33rd person on the list is John Donnovan, a tailor, age 35, from Ireland. The name could easily be misread as Domsovan but has been indexed as Donnovan. Of the 301 names, there is no other that is similar.
