Thank you. could you tell me when on Anguilla. I know there are several people on Anguilla and a number of the other islands with the RUAN surname today. I am concerned with the period around 1650-1775. Have you seen the name on Anguilla during that time? Would this be on the internet perhaps?

Thank you,
Jason Carpenter

I understand that your ancestor is John Ruan.

Our ancestor is Hume Scott Ruan (number 26) son of William Heyliger Ruan (number 7) and Christina Dumbreck. William H. (7) was the son of William (number 2) and Elizabeth Heyliger. William (2) was the son of John (number 1) and Rebecca Richardson. John (1) was the son of William (0) and Susanne who immigrated to St Croix in 1736 or 1737.

I would really appreciate if you can share any sources to find out more about the Ruan Family and related Families: Dumbreck, Heyliger and Richardson.

Any info is appreciated
