I live in Alamance County and will be happy to visit area cemeteries to search for your ancestors. I just need their names and where they were buried.

This is my "thanks" for other researchers in other states looking up my ancestors for me!

Shannon,

You're an "angel". My Great great grandfather is said to be buried in Alamance Co. (Mt Zion Church cemetary) according to records. He was born in 1860 in Person county (Woodsdale) township and died July 9, 1939 in Alamance county.
He is listed in Census 1:1870 (Person Co., NC.
also Census 2: 1880, Person Co., NC
and Census 3: Person Co., NC.
and Census 4: Person Co., NC.

My family moved from NC in 1969 to Tennessee when I was ony 10 yrs old so here is where I grew up, got married, raised my family and still live today.
This year I have started tracing my family lineage and found living out of state becomes difficult to establish certain facts about your ancestors when they are buried in another state.
So I have never seen his gravesite. This will help me along in my search.

THanks
Sharon Holt-Howe

Hi, Sharon!

I am in the same boat you are in! My entire family is from Alabama, but I grew up (and still live) in North Carolina! It can get rather frustrating! That's why I thought maybe I could help other researchers for this area who live out of state!

If it isn't raining after church today, I'll go out to the cemetery with my camera and snap some pictures for you!

Shannon,

My great great grandfather was Johnson Holt. His Father was Dolph or Dolphin Holt.
Johnson's son was Charlie Dolph (my Grandfather).
They have all passed away and buried in different cemetaries.
Johnson is buried in Mt. Zion near Mebane, NC. I am told.
Not sure about his father Dolph.
Charlie is buried in Oakwood. I have a picture of his gravesite.

Many thanks,
SHaron

Hello Shannon-
I agree with Sharon, you are an angel. Thanks for being so kind.
I was wondering if you could look up my ancestor buried at Pine Hill Cemetery?
He is Charles Ervin Jackson b. 19 Oct 1903 and died 23 Feb 1968 and his wife Margaret Conklin Jackson. I am afraid I do not have any dates on her.
I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks & regards-vicki
