James

You need to locate a precise place of birth in order to proceed with the research into "old country".
The English Y makes the Czech J sound so that is why your Ceynar but CEJNAR in Czech.
The CZ's phone book is listing CEJNAR.

You might want to take a look at the 16 CEJNARs manifests that came thru Ellis Island. www.ellisislandrecords.org

Hi, I know one Cejnar family in eastern Bohemia, they live in village of Kounov. It is 8 km east of town Dobruška.Mr. Cejnar's father was an ethnic German from village of Polom. Before war he used german form of his name: Zeuner. Polom is to the north-east from Kounov. Polom may be part of village of Sedloňov (Sattel in german)
Check this page:"http://sattel-adlergebirge.de/SattelVorfahren.htm"
although different spelling, 1595 is nice date, Cejnar name is not too common, but it is not unknown in this area.

Hi James,
This family you are looking for is not related to mine so that means Westly Vincent Ceynar/Cejnar's real surname is Ceynar because I don't know anyone by the name of these.I hope you find the them soon.
Thanks.... Jessica's sister Olivia
