I just heard on a TV show called Antique Road Show that a Langley Boardman was a furniture maker in the 1800's in Portsmouth.
I thought they said MA but I find no Portsmouth, MA -- maybe they said VA. He may be related to me - does he fit with your family?

Langled Boardman was from Portsmouth, NH. He is listed in the 1800 census as Langley Beardman. I have acquired several Boardman families, although none seem to be mine. If you care to write me direct about who you are looking for -- walker@netins.net

Have you come across an Alfred Boardman b. Feb, 1890 in Liverpool, England? He married Emma Everdell Wilkins. I'm looking for Alfred's parents. I believe his father to be Oswald Boardman.

We have a family heirloom, which is a sand bottle made by Clemens, McGregor, Iowa, and presented to Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Boardman. It is a centennial bottle dated 1776 to 1876. We are trying to figure out how the Boardman's tie into the Rowe line. My great grandfather was from Marblehead, MA and Gloucester, MA.
Any information you could share would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Carol Rowe

At one time I thought this was my grandfather, but I found out differently. Thank you anyway. Jan

Surnames: Langley / Boardman
I believe that these two surnames are of my family --
my father, Robt. Boardman married my mother, Lucille Langley right after WWII. I think it's just TOO coincidental to be otherwise.
My dad had 4 siblings: Ervin, Dorothy, Thelma & Paul. His parents: Chester & Bertha, from Concord, New Hampshire.
If this helps, let me know --maybe you've got info that I don't.
