Hello possible kin,

Are you talking about Calvin and Sarah Akers from Wythe Count, VA? If so, they are my great-great grandparents. My family are descendents through their son James Massie.

Here's what I know so far:

Calvin Akers was born 17 July 1840 in VA to Jackson Akers (born abt 1810 in VA) and Phoebe Absher (or Abshure) (born abt 1818 in VA). Her parents were John Absher (born in NC ? ) and Margaret Blancet. Calvin was married twice (?), although I can't find any record of a first wife. Supposedly Sarah was his second wife. He had atleast 6 kids and was a farmer or farm laborer. He died 23 june 1932 in VA.

Sarah Jane Moore was born 8 April 1849 and died 10 May 1928. I wish I knew more about her, but haven't found anything yet.

They are both buried in a family cemetery in Wythe Co, VA. If you'd like to know where I can find out.

Hope this helps. If you know anything that I can add to this please let me know. Thanks.
