Surnames:
My great Grandmother had a Boarding house and a Cafe, I believe on Main Street in Oakdale. Her name was Lula Elizabeth Davis. My Grandfather Joseph Dale Johnson had a Meat market next door. I cannot find any information regarding any of these places, any information would be greatly appreciated.

If your on Facebook their is a page called.
You're probably from Oakdale, LA if you remember...
There is a lot of the older people from oakdale on there. I've found people with pictures of my parents on there. and people that went to school with them. And I also even got a 1959 yearbook from one of them that had both my parents in it. They may also know where to get the info. if no one knows them. they have been helpful to me.

Johnson café was on the left side of tenth avenue on the left side looking south from the main red light in town,the building is gone, looks like a missing tooth so you cant miss it I don't know if it was the same Johnson as yours ,Good luck!
