Thanks, Bobbie.

Calaway G. Land, William P. Land, and Sarah E. Tucker are in my husband's line.

Especially Sarah. I knew she was a widow with children but always wondered if Tucker was her maiden name or first husband's name. Now I know. Do you by any chance know her maiden name?

Suzanne,

My husband's family line shows a Sarah E. Tucker as the second wife of William P. Land. They married on 30 Jul 1877 in Cullman County, AL.

Chester's line from WP Land goes Calaway Garman Land, James Dallas Land (his grandfather), Chester William Land, Sr. (his dad), and himself, Chester William Land, Jr.

Is this Sarah E. Hollis Tucker Land the same lady. What does E. stand for? How many children did she have and what were their names?

It is so neat to find you.

Leana Knapp Land

P.S. I tried e-mail but it was returned. My e-mail is landearl@web-access.net. Not the address above.

Under Lebanon, AL Land Office you show a James M.Land
7-15-1854 40.03.
I have a James Madison Land that moved to AL from GA. He had two children born in AL; Richard Thomas Land, b. 1851 and James A. Land, b. 1854. His next son, William David Land, b 1856, in AR.
Dlo you have any additional info on the James M. Land?

Leana,

Sarah Elizabeth Hollis Tucker Land was the sister of my gg grandfather. Hiram Chaney was the I think the g grand son of Jeremiah and Mary Kirby Chaney. Jeremiah Chaney was my 6th g grand father. Then John Newton Chaney married Francis Noami Harris who was my gg grand father's daughter.
I would love to exchange information on these families with you.

Thanks
