I am looking on information on Herman Mastare- (possibly- Mashtare/ Machlan)
Everyone has at least his name listed but no other information.

Samuel W. MASHTARE was born 29 JAN 1879 in Grand Isle, Vermont, and died 23 NOV 1967 in Beckman, New York, USA. He was the son of 4. Frank MASHTARE and 5. Julia YOUNG.

Thanks for the information.
However I was wondering more specifically on the life of Herman Samuel Mashtare- who I believe could be my grandfather- I am Australian- Does anyone know what happened to Herman?-I believe he may have come to Australia during the 2nd world war. Anyone know for sure?

I understand that, thank you. However as I think I've already mentioned I'm looking for more details on Herman Machlan- Mashatre and whether he can be placed in Australia as H.S.Mastare?

Nella: This in reply to an old 2011 post of yours. The Machlan family discussed in the thread were Scottish (Ulster Scot) and settled in York County, PA between 1763 and 1771. The 1st mention of the original John Machlan (my 5th great-grandfather) that I have is in Warrington Twp., York Co. My 4th great-grandfather is John Machlan (1763-1839). No relationship to the Mashatre family & no Herman given name within any of the records I have compiled. Good luck.
