What information will be Wisconsin marriage certificate?

I am currently doing genealogical research but do not know the names of all my great-great-grandparents. My great-grandparents came to Milwaukee in 1913 and had their first child in 1914. I -believe- they were legally married but I am not certain.

If they did marry, would their parents names be listed on a marriage certificate from that far back? And if so, how would I obtain one?

Thanks

There were blanks on the forms for listing parents' names. For a sample marriage certificate from 1920, see:
http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~balzarm/images/theo_...
Whether the blanks were filled in cannot be known without ordering the certificate.

Wisconsin vital records post-1907 can be obtained either from the Wisconsin Vital Records Office:
http://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/vitalrecords/
or from the county Register of Deeds:

Wisconsin marriage certificates do not list parents last names, however, birth certificates do. if they were born in WI can you obtain that info from their birth cert's.

What were their names? How old were they at that time? Maybe one of us will get lucky and find something. RP
Children's names might help too.

well, that's odd. I am born and raised in WI and have my parents marriage certificate and on theirs it doesnt list Parent names at all. They were married in WI in 1949.

Is it a duplicate, a photocopy, or an original? Registrars may not always provide all the info in a duplicate. Is it a civil certificate or one provided by a church? Church certificates may not provide the same info as state certificates.

Maybe it's a ceremonial certificate, the type that's issued for display/keepsake purposes. These don't have all data that's actually in the vital record.

Are you asking for someone to research in local or state offices for a potential marriage? Sometimes a direct query gets better results.
If not, go here:

My great-grandparents named were Franz(Frank) Fon, Born 1885 in Tornovo Ob Soci, Slovenia (then Austria/Italy) and Roza Bergine Born 1892 in Drenica, Slovenia (then Austria/Italy). They lived in Milwaukee.

Franz's Father's name was listed as Johann (Ivann) on his Ellis Island paper, and Roza listed her mother, Therigia.

They had four children; Mary, John, Frank Jr, and Rosie (who died at 15)

Thanks!
