No father listed

First of all, thanks to all for the help and education in Boheimian/Czech, just a quick question. Why do I occasionally see no fathers listed in birth records? Usually see a null or zero. Sometimes the infant died quickly, and sometimes not... The couple of times I've seen it in my own tree/research, it has been a child of the head of house, so I don't know if they are illegitimate or something else. I occasionally see those births separated from the normal births in the records, but IDK? Is there something in the record that might tell me why?

Children with no father listed are simply illegitimate. In some parishes births of illegitimate children were kept in separated books.

Thank you for the clarification. It gets tough when you have multiple generations, in-laws, etc all in the same location, so I assumed it meant illegitimate, but I wanted to make sure.

2 illegimate births for the same mother the first one has
no entry for the father, the second one has a house number
entered in the fathers space, is this a clue?
