My name is Jim Brinkley from OKC,OK. My father was Bump Brinkley born in 1892 in Indian Territory. His father was Bumpass Brinkley born in Conway County Ark. in 1871. Bumpas was the younger brother of Alex Brinkley who was hung. I am very interested in knowing the history of the event. Please write me at my E-mail address. I do not know if I am related to you or not, My father's name is Robert Brinkley and my grandfather's name was Jeet Thurman Brinkley , both resided in Judsonia at one time. I believe they lived in or near the Greenbriar/Clinton area when my father was young. My grandfather was born Feb. 3, 1906 and died Feb.1 1989. Please email me with any info you may have. Census records show they had children, John Alex, Caldonia, Mattie, Bump, Franklin and Dora.
