Surnames: Neill/O'Neill Corduff Lusk
I am looking for any information at all regarding Patrick Neill or O'Neill born in Balrothery Union in 1909. His Mother's name was Ann and she was unmarried,Ann was my Grandfather's sister. I think Patrick may have been adopted locally as he attended Corduff National School in 1917 with an Address in Corduff. I don't think he have attended school autside the union unless somebody adopted or sponcered him. Please
I hope someone can help.

Thanks Dermot.

Hi
On the 1911 census at the Workhouse, Oberstown, Holmpatrick (Barony of Balrothery, Parish of Lusk), there's an Anne Neill, aged 28 single. Also on the Return is a Patrick Neill, aged 1. I wonder if these are the people you're looking for?
This may be the same Anne Neill, aged 20, who is working as a General Domestic Servant in Clarinda Park West, Kingstown (Elizabeth Partridge home) on the 1901 census.
Good luck.
Colette

If he attended school in Corduff then he would have been there at the time Thomas Ashe was there. School was small so he would have known him and vice versa.
