Hi I just found out I am in your tree. I am Sarah Ann Levely's great granddaughter.
I am heading up that way in October and we are going to the graveyard. Can I take some photos for you? Do you know for sure where Adolphus is buried?

Hi there!

I am her great great grand-daughter and I'm trying to trace her husband's history, William Bulmer. Would you happen to know who his parents were?

Hi Sheila,
I know we have exchanged this information but wanted to post on here incase anyone else from the tree is searching the same info.
A birth certificate was ordered for William Bulmer and his parents are listed as Joseph Bulmer and Eliza (Davidson).

According to the history that's been passed down by family members, William Bulmer (Sara Ann Levely's husband) had 3 brothers: Harry, Richard and John, and one sister: Pamela.

Joseph Bulmer & Eliza Davidson had the following children as far as I can tell so far: Eliza (born 1838 in Loftus), James (born 1940 in Loftus), Sarah (born 1842 in Loftus), William (born 1845 in Loftus), Mary (born 1847 in Loftus), Joseph (born 1849 in Loftus), Richard (born abt 1853 in South Hetton, England), and Elizabeth (born 1854 in Loftus)

The only two names that match what the family has passed down is William's and Richard, otherwise the information doesn't really match. Has anyone been able to reconcile this?

I recently found a long form for William's death where his father is stated at William Bulmer now so I am not sure our Joseph and Eliza connection (from birth cert that a family member had) is the right one. I have just sent away for a long form of their marriage cert. as I cannot find anywhere, will let you know what is listed there and perhaps that will open up our answers??

Here is the info I have on William Bulmer as has been passed down thru the family:

"William Bulmer's parents originally came from Germany. Spelling of name was possibly Bulmier. Father was a gardener in Yorkshire. They lived next to a family named Chapman. William had 3 brothers, Harry, Richard, John, and 1 sister, Pamela. (Parents possibly from France - La Bulmer)"
