I am searching for info on my G-Grandparents THOMAS BROWN and MARTHA JANE LANE.Thomas was born around 1868, in Wilkes County. I have no dates for Martha Jane. They were married on July 5, 1890 and had 4 children: Crommodore, b.Aug.5, 1890. Queen Victoria, b.July 27, 1893. Oscar Joseph, b. Feb.24, 1903 and Spencer Monroe, b.March 9, 1911. All of the children were born in Wilkes County. After Martha's death, Thomas married Sarah Elzina (Zine) Ellis d/o Linville Ellis and Quintella Wagoner. This is as far back that I have been able to go. Could this be part of your BROWN family? My maiden name is Osborne, and I have info that I will share with you. Thanks

I am a descendant of Elizabeth Felts that married Daniel Brown. Elizabeth's brother was Isham Felts. Daniel's sister was Susan (or Susannah Brown). I don''t remember right now if we have corresponded before. Please e-mail me.

We have not corresponded before - I am interested in the information you have on Brown and Felts. And am interested on your downline. I have one child of Daniel & Elizabeth (FELTS) BROWN - David Brown b. abt 1815
RE: I now have proof that this John Brown's wife Mary (or Molly) was not Mary McCullough. That John Brown and Mary McCullough went to Georgia. We still don't know our Mary's maiden name.

Hi Ray
I have traced my Brown tree to NC and our browns may be related.
I have John Brown, 1850 census, Dale Co., AL age 66 (DOB would have been 1793 or 1794, NC. m. Elizabeth ? SC b. 1813. Jesse b. abt 1840, John J. b. 1857, Andrew J. b. 1892.
I believe John and Elizabeth were married in Wilkes Co., NC 1828.
Would you check your John Brown and see if we could have a match? If his father was Valentine I would have yet one more name in the ladder.
Thanks
Norm Brown

Norm, I have John Q Brown, b. 1793, f. Valentine Brown, m. Mary Elizabeth, sp. Elizabeth Caudill, b. 18 June 1800, Lunenburg, VA. You appear to have them in Dale Co AL in 1850 census. Goos luck! (I appear to be a descendant of one of John Q's brothers.)

Thanks Ray
I appreciate the info. Looks like he is not my John Brown as he m. Elizabeth Brown b. 1813 in SC. There is info to indicate they were married in NC in 1828 but not completely sure. For some reason I think his father was Jesse or William but in reality it could be whatever.
Again thanks and I will keep searching.
