Hello Bruce and Michael,

Thank you for the response. It is graftifying to find someone else searching for the same information. We are definately talking about the same family.

Here is a little bit of information for fun and contemplation:

Samuel Parsons (b ca 1781 in NC, d 17 NOV 1883 in Lee Co., VA) married ?? Pennington and had these children:

Joseph - My line of descent is via Joseph
John Jackson
Joel
Stephen
Diana or Dinah
James Simpson
Mary Polly
Samuel

He was also married to Charlotta Fletcher (b 1797 Esses Co. VA, d 17 Nov 1882 Lee Co, VA). I am certain because of dates and locations that she was his second wife. They had the following children:

Nancy Jane
Margaret
Susan
Amy
Thomas
William

Anyway, I have more but need your e-mail address which I can not get to from here. I am at amycooper74@hotmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, There is much confusion with Parsons in Pittsylvania with the Parsons of Lee County VA. They are separate families. Samuel Parsons, son of Joseph Sr. and Margaret (Peggy) Griffith Parsons, married Lucy Bailey in Pittsylvania County. About 1813, he and his brother, Benjamin, and his father-in-law, Peter James Bailey, left Pittsy. and moved to Rockcastle County, KY. Samuel and Lucy left Rockcastle sometime before 1820 and moved to Logan County, KY where several of his brothers-in-law lived. About 1828 he then moved to Pike County, MO with family. Later, his brother David's wife and children also moved to Pike County. David died in Pittsy.

Hello,
I am a descendant of Samuel and Lucy Parsons through their son, Joseph B. Parsons. Several of us have been trying to find documentation for the children of Sam. and Lucy and also their death dates and the location of their burials. I will be happy to share any and all of the info I have collected in the courthouses of Pike/Lincoln and also in KY and Pittsylvania County, VA.

You are correct about Charlotta being married before - she was married to Samuel Carter, who died - I don't have a date - then she married Samuel Parsons.

I'm working of the Fletcher side of this family tree. Do you have anything about Charlotta's parents or grandparents? How about children of Charlotta and Samuel Parsons? If you have any additional information that I might use, I really will appreciate it. My information is from - Kindred Konnections Individual Record - m4113667. I believe the URL is MyTrees.com, and I found it listed under her father, Drury Fletcher and his wife, Dolly Bausley.

Thanks.

Shirley

Thanks for all of the information. I need all of the help I can get. Unfortunately, no one seems to know much about Drury Fletcher, Charlotta's father, or about Dolly Bausley, her mother. You have given me several names to check out - maybe there will accidently be some information there.
