Looking for information on Joseph G. Garrison and his wife Senora Fox of Fergus/Petroleum County. Both were orginaly from Burke, Co. NC and were in Montana by the 1920's. Have letters dated 1923 and post marked in Winnett and Cat Creek from Senora Garrison. Very interested in finding there burial place. Any information would be appriciated. Latter dated June 26, 1923 she talks about a very bad flood.

Senora Fox would have been Ossie's grandmother. Senora married Joseph Garrison. Their daughter Lula Leila Garrison married Steven Laxton Whisonant. Both Steven and Lula are buried in Lauralwood Cemetery in Rock Hill, SC. Steven came to Rock Hill from Burke County, North Carolina. His father was Joseph Earnest WHISENANT and his mother was Laura Jane WINTERS. Joseph's father and mother are James William WHISENANT & Sara Elizabeth MILLER. Senora Fox Garrison was also originally from Burke County, NC.

Thank you so much Charles for the family information on my grandmother Ossie. It seems like most of the family relocated from Burke County, NC to Rock Hill, SC. I only met my grandfather, James Fox, once. I never got a chance to meet my grandmother Ossie. I met my father's brother and sisters once also. Now Senroa Fox, was she related to my grandfather, James G. Fox who married Ossie? Do you have any informaton on my grandfather's family James G. Fox? None of my father's family are living including my father Worth Garrison Fox. I know my mother kept in touch with Katie's husband he was either Mike or Steve Manning but my mom is deceased also. I have hit a dry well when it comes to my grandfather's side of the family. No one is alive to ask any questions and I do not know where to start looking for information. Any help would be appreciated. At least I know where my father's family are all burried. Maybe I can start looking there for records, in Rock Hill. Do you know wht I need to know to do that?

Again, thank you for all your help. Are you a cousin of mine? How are you related to my grandmother Ossie.

Keep in touch,
Claudia Fox-Gabriele

Just happened upon your queries... Senora and Joseph G. Garrison, Lois ann( Fox) and William O. Hardin, Laura ( Kincaid) and Lafayette Fox headed west in a covered wagon from Burke Co. NC to Ohio. My husband's sister(86) has a picture of them in the wagon. Tin type!! I think Senora's is sister to Roger's ggf or gf?? Have to find my notes. Happy to share. Roger's family: William Abram , Winfield Scott, Abraham, Larkin, Allen ?? Think Senora and Winfield were sibs

Beth,

I would love to see that picture. Do you have a copy? I have a few pictures of them that were taken at their homestead. Do you happen to know what military service Joseph Garrison was in?

Beth and Charles,

Senora Fox was my husband's adopted Great-Grandmother, and would like to get copies of pictures and letters, etc. that you may have.

We plan on going to Montana this July for a Garrison family reunion in Kevin.

Hi
I am the Granddaughter of Zalia Whisonant Doares. I have been researching the Fox/Garrison family for about 10 years. Any information and pictures would help. I have been trying to find out where Senora and Joesph are buried and also her father and mother, Abraham and Martha.
Thanks
