My great aunt was married to a George Bondeson and they lived in Montana. His parents were from Sweden and he was born in Rhode Island. I believe he was born in Providence in 1883.

George's wifes name was Mae Hills, my grandfathers sister. She was born in New York, then her family moved to Michigan and finally she moved to Montana to homestead. She met George in Montana. He was a conductor for the Railroad. Do you know any Bondesons that were in Seattle area in the 1930's? I have a picture of my Dad and it says "at Georges folks house in Seattle". So I think that at least he had a sister that lived in Washington. I dont know anything about his dad. I'll go through some of Mae's old things and see if I can find anything else. Oh, by the way George is buried in Highland cemetery in Glasgow Montana.

Carol, I went through the rest of my great aunts stuff. All I found was George Emanual birth-August 7, 1883 to Peter Bondeson and his mothers maiden name was Augusta Anderson in Providence R.I. He was a conductor for the Great Northern Railroad. He married my aunt, Mae Hills and they lived in Glasgow Montana. He died at the age of 61, March 12, 1945. He had a sister by the name of Anna that lived in Seattle, Washington (1908). I dont know if the parents lived there or not.

Sharon, If you are interested I have traced pehr's family back into the 1700's in Sweden. Pehr's parents were Bonde Mansson and Bengta Nilsdotter. Pehr's brother Mans came to the Maine in 1971 and his son Aaron went out to Montana to work at the suggestion of George and when Aaron died George was the informant. I have copy of George's Social Security Application card as well his obituary from the local newspaper. let me know and I can make copies and send you all kinds of stuff. I have been totally unsucessful in contacting any family members in Montana or Seatle.

Carol, Could you see on George's death certificate what names it mentions as survivors? I have been searching for my fathers brother for a long time. He use to keep in contact with Mae, George's wife. The last time my Dad heard from him was in 1946. I thought that if George died in 1945 maybe the obit might show where he was living. His name was Charles William Hills but he went by Bill. My Dad's other brother Lee lived with George and Mae until he went away to college.

Sorry to be so long....George lived in Glasgow Montana for 40 years. He died at Deaconess Hospital after suffering a heart attack. he reitred from Great Northern Railroad in 1944. Nephews and Nieces mentioned in the obituary are: Harold Lyons of Washpuena Washington, Lee Hills, Mrs Paul Decker of Noble IL, Mrs J Soule of Indianapolis, and CLark Hills. Two Sisters Miss Nellie Bondeson and Miss Selma Bondeson live in Seatle. All of this information is from Georges obituary however even though I have a copy of the obituary I was not provided with a notation of the newspaper it comes from. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help further.
