He was twice married, to Ida Lewis Larue and to Vesse May Hardeman, and produced a total of 7 children. I have some family stories but no real facts concerning JT's parents. I would like more info regarding Vesse Mae Hardiman Wife of Jesse Thomas Brazile. I may have data regarding her ancestors.

Elvesa Mae Hardiman was the second wife of Jessie Thomas Brazile. She was supposedly born in Tennessee 29 Apr 1878, but I have more info about her death on 6 Oct. 1917 in Abilene, Texas. She is buried next to JT in the Abilene City Cemetary. Also, supposedly, she had family in the wholesale grocery business in Oklahoma. I have a digital picture of her grave marker if you are interested. I am searching for any Hardiman descendents who may have additional information.
Thanks!

Larry:
I Have a Elvessa Mae Hardiman born in either
Giles, Marshall, or Lincoln County, TN.
It was probably Giles County. Her parents
were John Thomas and Sophrina Pamplin
Hardiman. Elvessa Mae hardiman was born abt
1877. Is there a death certificate for Elvissa?
If this is the same person I have photos of her
father and grandfather.

My great great grandmothers name was Marzealy Ann Brazzil(Brazile) Dodson. She had a brother by the name of Thomas Jesse Brazzil. Could they posibly be the same man. He was born December 30, 1869..His parents were Rigdon and Mary Brazzil.

I am replying to your posted message for Joe Hardiman who received your message and passed it along to me. I will tell you what I think I know about Jesse Thomas Brazile and hope that you will compare this information with what you know about your ancestor, and let me know if you think that we possibly have a match. JT was born either in Mississippi or Tennessee possibly on 15 Dec 1860 or sometime in 1863. He was married twice, to Ida Lewis Larue and to Jessie (or Elvessa) Mae Hardiman. He spent some time in Kansas and Arkansas, before spending most of his life in Texas. The last name is pronounced as if it rhymed with the south american country. If the last name is pronounced in some other fashion, your relative may be a descendent of the Braswell family. If this information has any match with your knowledge, please contact me directly at Larrybraz@aol.com and I can supply some additional family legend stories to see if any of it helps also. Thanks! Larry

The Thomas Jesse Brazil that I have was born on Dec. 30,1869. Not sure where, but his parents were Rigdon and Mary Brazil. The reason that I thought they may be the same person was that several family members are buried in Rising Star, Texas. That is not too far from Abilene. This Thomas Jesse had several siblings including Henry, Effie, Emma, and my great great grandmother, Marzealy Ann Dodson.
