Dear Betty,
I read that you were married to a Ronnie Hackwood from Wednesbury. Did he have a brother Tom who had children Glyn, Jenny, Les, Brenda, John and Peter?

Hello Auntie Betty,
Yes I am Tom's daughter. I am very pleased that we have finally got in touch after all these years. I notice you have sent a message to Sue.
How have things been with you? I am now living back in Wrexham and have got 4 children and 2 grandchildren.
Have you got MSN Messenger on your computer then we could talk to each other without sending e-mails.
Did you know that Jenny passed away 3 years ago?
Hope to hear from you soon, take care love Brenda xxx
P.S My telephone number is 01978 762345 feel free to give me a ring if you want to. Bye for now xxxxx

Dear Betty, I have e-mailed you with some info. I am Brenda Kearn's sister, although Tom is probably not my dad. Brenda is delighted to be in contact with you again. I did try to post a message before now, but for some reason, the message board would not accept it.

Hi Betty;

I am researching the Hackwood family of Wednesbury for someone else and I noticed your posted message. It looks like you have done extensive research on the Hackwoods. I am looking for information (parents, siblings, etc.) on a Sylvia Hackwood (I suspect Sylvia may not be her proper name). She was born abt. 1817 in Wednesbury. She married William Cooper and I have a large file on the Cooper and Hicken families but have found nothing to connect to a Hackwood family in Wednesbury. I can't seem to find a marriage for William and Sylvia either. I found one marriage on the Bishops Transcripts for Walsall of a William Cooper and Sylvia? "Attwood" so it could have been transcribed incorrectly. In your research, do you happen to have any information for Sylvia or her family? Thank you for your time.
Joanne

Please, please help.

I think that my husband's family are also related in some way to Frederick Hackwood and I would be so grateful for any information regarding his extended family.

My husband's grandfather was Desmond Hackwood, of West Bromwich and we believe that he is distantly related to Frederick.

Any information would be helpful

I think, if i am on about the same book, our family has a copy of this book havent had the chance to read it my self but its an old book. And also there is another which my nan actually helped the person who wrote it gather the information for the book because she worked in Wednesbury library at the time.

Hi there,

My grandfather, Thomas Hackwood of West Bromwich, whom passed last year, moved to Richmond Hill, Ontario Canada in the late 1930's. He bore an only child, my father Graham Hackwood.
