My grandmother was Mahalia Parker and she lived in Mississippi in Phildelphia, I believe. Iam looking for other family members like sisters and brothers of hers. I want to connect with my families origin as well but can only get a Great Grandmother first named which is said to be Ella. I need to know her maiden name and if she had brothers and sisters as well. If you're out there and you know them give me a buzz here on my emial. Love to hear from you soon. Your kin in this great big world.

Hello, I noticed your massage was prompted to reply. We may not ever have anything in common, but I too am looking for some Mahala in the Parker family. In fact, I have 2. The first one is Kathryn Mahala Parker, born 12/17/1875 in Red River County, Tx., married B.A. Rust on 6/5/1891, at the age of 16. Her grandmother was also a Mahala someone. No last name or dates for her. She married West Parker, no dates, etc. Their son, JOHN AARON Parker was Katie's Father. Katie' mother was Lydia Ann Dickerson born 4/4/1842. Lydia married John on 1/18/1866 somewhere in LA. She died on 1/15/1899. I am looking for the Mahala that married West Parker. Thanks. Diana dsorrells@lecnet.net

Jim, this sounds like my bunch. I have Westley A. Parker from Henry County, Ga. married to Mahala George from S. Carolina in 1809. He died on 2/26/1827. Does this look familiar, or close enough. Will be waiting for your reply. My home "E" is: dsorrells@lecnet.net

Thanks for any info. you have.

Westley Parker and Mahala George

Hi,
I have Mahala and West Parker living close by my ancestors, Jesse George and his son Wesley (Jesse Wesley) George in Muscogee Co., Georgia in 1840. In 1850 West and Mahala had moved to Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, along with Jesse Wesley and his family; his sisters: Civility Green George, and her husband John Gaskins and family; Epsey Ann George and her husband John Johnson and family; Sarah George and her husband Henry Gunter and family. Living with Sarah is their mother Faithy (unknown maiden name) George. I believe that Mahala is Faithy's sister-in-law, and J. Wesley and his sisters are her nephew and nieces.
Jesse and Mahaly both came from SC, and Mahaly was about 13 years younger than Jesse. I don't have any information on Westley Parker other than the marriage date to Mahala in Henry Co., GA July 26, 1827.
I hope this is helpful

I had an uncle by the name of George Parker. George had 2 brothers, Walter and Claude and a sister Lola. Their father was Whit (Whitton Parker who was supposed to have been from TN and he married an Indian (Osage) woman by the name of Lona Smith from OK. Does any of this sound familiar?
