Eugenia,
I have scads of information on George Weeden including his entire (or at least I think so) Civil War Pension file. His parents were Alfred Penn Weeden and Eleanor Lucas. Your Alfred had 3 brothers (Lorenzo Dow, George Washington, and William Ivan), 2 sisters (Elizabeth and Mary Jane).

Was excited to hear from you I just started researching ancestors and find it to be exciting. Would like any informaton you have on George and any pictures you may have Alfred and others. Alfred Penn Weeden the son of George Weeden is my Great-Great-Grandfather on my mothers side. Alfred's daughter Reena was my mother's grandmother.
I have a copy of Alfred's obituary and will be glad to send it to you. I live in Rock Springs, Wi which is about 50 miles from Richland Center, Wi. I have located the cemetery where Alfred is buried it is called Woodstock Cemetery and is in the same area where he settled when he came here.
According to the obituary in the newspaper Alfred Penn Weeden was married to Caroline Nicks on April 14, 1872 they had 2 children one dying in infancy and Rena who was born in 1874, Rena died November 6, 1906 she was 32 and she died from pnuemonia she was married to Job Klingaman , they had one infant daughter that died and one daughter whose name was Grace( she was my grandmother on my mother's side) Caroline Nicks Weeden died in March 22, 1875 she was 23 years old then in September 23, 1875 Alfred married Elizabeth Catherine Klingaman the obituary says that he was preceeded in death by his wife Elizabeth Catherine in the year 1926 (no mention of a divorce or a remarriage)
they had 10 children . he left three daughters four sons 43 grandchildren and 47
great-grandchildren Two of Alfred and Elizabeth's children passed away in infancy and one daughter died in 1924. I will have go to Richland County Courthouse and check records for a possible divorce and remarriage . According to the records that I did go through in Richland County There was a Phoebe Weeden born in Ohio on April 18, 1850 and married to Albert Weeden and died on April 28, 1910 this is recorded in the death records i Volume 1 page 604 it looked like her fathers name was Thor. could have Thom. writing hard to tell, her mother's name was Nancy no maiden name given.

I had done this research in October, I went to the Woodstock Cemetery and wrote all the Weeden's, Nick's, and Klingaman's that I could find and then I had gone to the Courthouse and check the information on some of them. I will be waiting to hear further from you.

Eugenia,
I have very little on Rene and Jobe. I have 5 children for the couple. The information I have states that Jobe and Cassie were brother and sister, both children of Michael and Lucinda (Bowers) Klingaman.
I would love a copy of Alfred's Obit. Please email me directly, Dana_Weeden at hotmail dot com. (I don't know if this site edits out email addresses, so I will list it this way)
My records show that Grace Klingaman married Earl Gray.
I can save you a trip to the courthouse, as I have the records you seek.
Delila is also buried in the Woodstock cemetery, very close to Lorenzo Dow Weeden.
