I know we had DUVAL kin in Huntingdon and Chateauguay Counties before they moved to ClintonCo. NY. My husband's
great grandparents were TOUSSAINT DUVAL and ALEXANDRINA (or Sarah) VADEBONCOEUR which became HART or BUNKER in the USA.

There are many Camerons, mainly from Dundee and Beaver areas, in my extended family tree. I've not yet been able to figure out if and how they might all be connected -- though maybe all are descended from Alexander Roy Cameron (1793-1873). I would be very interested in learning more about the CAMERONs that you mention.

Hi,

I do not know if my people ever got to Huntingdon but.......I do descend from a John Colquhoun who came to America ca. 1792 and settled in North Carolina. He is said to have arrived with brothers, Malcolm, Archibald, Duncan, & Laughlin. I have info on these Colquhouns........if you think we connect, please write.

Hi,
Thanks for the input. I couldn't say if a connection existed though.
The family connected to mine is that of Angus Colquhoun (1775-1835) who married Nancy McLeod. They had at least six children: Angus, Alexander, Archibald, Janet(Fleming), Catherine, and Nancy. Of those children, Angus and Janet are definitely connected to my family tree. There may be further connections through Catherine (Murchison)& Nancy (Stewart). Meanwhile, I suspect that Angus, SR came directly from Scotland between 1815 and 1830. His earlier descendants resided mostly in Huntingdon Co. and Franklin Co. NY.

Sorry, but Mabel Smith is not on my list of relatives. But who knows. My Danie Masonl Smith married Barbara Ann Wade in Ashland Co., OH on June 12, 1847. They had nine children, one of which was Franklin Pierce Smith, who was my gr. gr. grandfather, who married Jereter Minerva Wright in Lawrence Co., ILL Oct. 1878. They settled in Emmett, AR and had nine children.......More info if you see a connection. Huntington Co. was purely a guess on my part.....I have no idea where they came from.

I am looking for Mary Cummings, born in Canada, 1821 who moved to Illinois and married Barnabas Vermilyer. Amelia may be her middle name. Thanks for any information you may have.

I am looking for my Great-Grandfather!We think his(my)family may have been from near Cornwall, which I think is near this area.I have found many Camerons from north of Cornwall(in an area called Argenteuil) which seem to match names,so I am stumped!!My G-Grandfather was named John and he had a sister named Catherine(Cassie),and two brothers named Alexander and Adam.I am guessing on birthdates between 1865 and 1875.Does this sound familiar to anyone?note:the family moved to Kenora,Ontario at some point as my Grandfather, his siblings, and his cousins were all from there.

Hi! I am searching for any info about the Horn family. I've just been informed that my Horn's might be of French Canadian descent and am just beginning my search in Canada.

I am looking for Thomas Horn(e) born about 1774, location uknown. He married Priscilla Shacklett(e) about 1796 in Fayette County, PA. The family eventually settled in KY but so far there is no info available about Thomas' parents or siblings.

I would appreciate ANY help even if you can just give me a few places to begin searching.

Thanks!
