Hello Robert,
We are related. I am a GGGGG granddaughter of Robert Childress Sr. Robert Sr. was married to Mary Garner. I have Mary S. and Sarah listed as his children. They may be the same child. Sarah was born 4 Nov 1792. She died 1 Jul 1859. "Polly" Alexandra was born 4 Nov in South Carolina. "Lucy" was a nickname for Lucinda. who was born 25 June 1799.
James was married to Elizabeth Davis. He died April 1815. His son was William G., probably Garner, his paternal grandmother's maiden name.
I hope this helps. Thanks for sharing your information.
Jayne
