My name is Jaime Read Ortega, from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. I am doing some research on jewish refugees in the DR and came across your family (Mahler Rosenbaum). Luckily I´ve able to find some information about your family and would like to share it. I am writing an article about some of those jewish refugees that lived in Santo Domingo during that time and I´m interested in finding some pictures from that time.

Your family emigrated to Santo Domingo (formerly Ciudad Trujillo) in 1939, just before the WWII started. They lived here for a few years. Your aunt Lizzi (Felizitas) Mahler married a Finnish man who had emigrated some ten years before.
