For the birth place field, it says key as seen. For St Paul, Ramsey Co, Minnesota do we key the "Co?" In some other projects we are leaving out the "Co" or "County." I know that we leave out "Co" or "County" in the county field.

This is what the general keying standards say:

8. If the record says Jackson County should I enter County?
No, only enter the name of the county, "Jackson" - unless the field help states otherwise. This is true whether you are entering the data into a general location field or a county field.

Mn State Records Residence

On the wiki, it states "The residence of an individual is where they typically reside, and not the location of the hospital." On an example, it points out Residence County. If residence is blank on the ledger, do we leave it blank?

That is the exception - no, don't key County or Co, or periods... :)

Yes, for these records you would leave the Residence fields empty.

Just answered it there too... "No, do not enter the Nationality information in the Birth Place field."

If we see the year as 30 should we expand to 1930?
