FTM 2012 error message

FTM 2012 error message

I have Family Tree Maker Version 2012 installed on my Vista 32 bit PC.

After I click on a hint for an individual, the pane Incorporating Web Search Results into Your Tree appears. There are two options, Ancestry and Other Websites. I select an option and click ok. I have periodically received the following error message:

Stop running this script?

A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive.

I don’t know if this is an issue with FTM 2012 or I have a problem with my web browser. (My web bowser is AOL)

I would appreciate help with this issue.

Thanks in advance

I get these periodically. I just leave FTM and maybe reboot my machine and it goes away.

It may have to do with other things than FTM. For example, I often see a message in my browser before this FTM script message that Skype has been taken down.

I feel that most of the slowest is AOL. If you could try and NOT use AOL and then you still get this message, you will know that it is not AOL.

I have seem any a complaint about AOL and how slow it is when accessing the internet through a program.
