How do I delete a branch of my tree in Ancestry?

How do I delete a branch of my tree in Ancestry?

In my family tree on Ancestry I have discovered an error in my research which means that a branch of my tree covering 5 generations and about 70 people are not related to me. I would like to export that branch and create another tree not connected to mine so I can share it publicly as there is a lot of connections I have made between these people that I have not found anywhere else. I then want to delete that branch from my tree.

Is there an easy way to do this? I don't want to have to delete each person one by one, it would be too time consuming.

The easiest way to do this would be to just break the incorrect link. That would leave the incorrect line in an unconnected island of people within your tree but not connected to it.

You could even note on the progenitor of the incorrect branch what you have done so other researchers will know when they find those people.
