Looking to establish the ancestry of Rev Ebenezer White (b ca 1671 - d 1756). Was a well known minister of the church at Bridgehampton on Long Island. Was he a descendant of Capt. Thomas White of Weymouth?

Did your Ebenezer have any family? My grandfather spoke of a person of this name in his family many years ago.

I have only gotten back to a John White who married an Ann Alward in N.J. in abt 1948 and later moved to Canada .My familty moved to VA. in early 1900s

You must think me stupid indeed because in your reply I put 1948 rather than 1748 for the marriage of John White and Ann Alward. I haven't found a record of the marriage however so the year is approximate. They may have married in N.Y. of Pa. However their first son was born in N.J. He a Henry.

I have found an Ebenezer in the LDS ancestry who had a son John but the dates may not fit exactly. He lived in Sag Harbour, I think. Travel wouln't be too bad from Long Island to
Middlesex Co. N. J.

Please let me know if you have any futher thoughts about this.
