I am a first cousin 4x removed of Horatius Bonar (1808-1889). I descended from his uncle John Bonar. John, had a son James (1833-1892) and daughter Martha. James was my g.g. grandfather Who married Cecelia Walsh (1833-1900). I just started my family tree quest and would like to know more information on Bonar Family. I read that there is a bonar book? How do I get the book and would it help me in researching my family tree? Thanks for any replies.

The Bonar Genealogy written by Dorothy Rine Brown and copyrighted in 1969. The book contains 600 pages and may be available at a library in Wheeling WV. The genealogy covers the lineage of two Bonar immigrants from Scotland William and Barnet. These Bonars were predominately from West Virginia. The names you have given in your query I can not match up in my copy of the book. Can you give more info for me to track or maybe you are not from this line.
