I have just discover that my great-greatgrandmother was Elizabeth J. Kindrick born abt. 1841 in the Chattooga Co. GA area. She married John Salter (Saulter)Sept. 6, 1856 in Chattooga Co. They had two children John (b. 1859) and James T. (b. 1865). These two sons moved to TX around 1900.

I believe Elizabeth's mother was Mary Kindrick. Others are siblings: Mary (md. George N Dixon), Wm. C, Martha, and Amanda. In 1870 the family was in DeKalb Co. AL. in 1880 Elizabeth, her two sons, and 21 year old sister were back in Chattooga Co. Ga.

I will be glad to share what information I have about Elizabeth's children and grandchildren. Does anyone recognize this family?

I know it's many years after you posted this, but I do have information on the Kindrick family if you haven't already found it. Elizabeth's father was Brittain Kindrick and her mother was Mary E.A. Templeton. Let me know if you are interested in corresponding. I would like to have more information. I have searched for the marriage record with John Salter (Saulter) from Chattooga Co. and don't find it in Ancestry.

I am somewhat familiar with this family, and although your post is several years old, I thought perhaps we could exchange some information... My interest is in the Kindrick family, Elizabeth Jane, her father Brittain Kindrick and her grandfather, whom I believe was William Kindrick. If you still have information to share, I'd like to hear from you! Thanks...

Just saw your post re Elizabeth Jane Kindrick. Would like to exchange information about the Kindrick family. I have been confused by the information found in the various family trees on Ancestry.com. I saw that she married John Salter ( Saulter) and also that she married Richard Robbins Saulter. ( who is he?) and which is correct?? What happened to Elizabeth's husband -- was he a casualty of the Civil War? (I found her as a widow in 1870 and 1880. ) Any help would be greatly appreciated!
