Hi Diana:
I don't know if this is appropriate...but I'm searching for my wife's great Uncles who apparently went to Australia but I don't know the year.
Thomas Williams b:1843, Dorset UK
Morgan Williams b:1856, Dorset Uk
Their parents names were Samuel Williams and Sarah Williams, and they stayed in England.
I can't think of anything else that might aide in your search
Thanks very much for the look up
much appreciated

Hi I am trying to track down my great great grandmother’s family. It would be great if you could look up her and her family. All of whom were born in various locations in Victoria. I have tracked down two brothers who died in Victoria, but not their birthdates.
The parents Francis Davey b. abt 1829 and Jane Rowe b. abt 1826 arrived in Victoria in 1854 from Cornwall. If there is any chance of finding out where they came from in Cornwall would be a great help. Davey is a common name.
Mary Jane b. abt 1856
Elizabeth Ann b. abt 1858
William Thomas b. abt 1860
Francis b. abt 1861 d. 9 Dec 1869, Clunes, Victoria
James b. abt 1864/65 d. 1864/65
James b. abt 1865
Eliza b. abt 1866, Clunes, Victoria
James b. abt 1868 d. 23 March 1869, Clunes, Victoria
I suspect that they followed the goldfields in Victoria, and around 1873 the family moved to Charters Towers where Francis’ older brother was working.
A big thank you in advance.

Hi Dave

I have done a quick search but have been unable to find anything so far mainly because there are so many Williams. Will search some more this week Do you have any idea where in Victria they may have settled to help narrow down the search?

Good Morning

Are you still willing and able to look up events for people?

I am seeking John Sutherland Buchanan, born 1840 in Edinburgh and Charlotte Ross born 1839 who, I hope and believe, married 17 Sep 1868 in Geelong, Victoria. Their daughter Margaret was born in Carlton, Melbourne in 1871.

Can you help? With many thanks in anticipation

Marion

Surnames: Ellerker
I'm trying to trace a David Ellerker (b 8 Sep 1853 in Dunnington, Yorkshire, England) who went to Australia (landing in Sandridge in early April 1876). We have a letter written by him the day after landing in Sandridge:

(Click on the images to navigate to the full resolution images, or click the word doc icon(s) to view a transcribed version). Basically, the trail ends there.

I'd be really greatful if you could search to see if he married or died in Victoria after he arrive in early April 1876.

Cheers,
Nathan

Surnames: Mitchell, Hammersley
Hello,
I am researching the Mitchell family who issued from Hugh Mitchell b.Paisley, Scotland 1843 and Sarah Elzabeth Ferry b. Sunderland 1845 and might have emmigrated to Australia around 1900. A name of an Australian relative would be Elsie Hammersley who may have had a daughter named Constance. Any info would be greatfully appreciated. The family would probably be found in Perth, Western Australia and also NSW.
Many thanks,

Dr C. Barron, Toronto, Canada
