There is a slim chance this matches
The margaret who married John may be the John Munro but they would have had 5 children by then and she died 1878 in Perth not 1903 the Father of Margaret was listed as James in the info we had received but there may be missprints . quite common.
All in all this is very close thank you and keep in touch direct please
thank you

Hello, Karen --

You wrote: "I have a super photo taken a few weeks ago in Inverallan Graveyard of Alexander Cruickshank senior and his son Alexander Cruickshank, Isabella Ross, and Lewis .If you would like a copy just send me your email address."

What a nice offer. I'd love a copy, and will forward it to my friend who is a Cruickshank from the same line. (Would give you her name & email, but reluctant to do that without permission)

My husband is descended from Elizabeth Grant, who married (2) James Cruickshank, eldest son of Alexander and Isabella.

Below is the first part of a tree of the first 3 generations of Alexander Cruickshank's descendants that my friend did last year. If you'd like the rest of it, please let me know.

Thanks again for your kind offer -- would love to see the photo!

Cheers,

Hi,
I live in Malaysia, but was recently home on holiday in Scotland and went looking round the graves in that area. This was in Old Grantown graveyard. It was a glorious day too, with folks swimming in the river running alongside and believe me that is amazing for Scotland even in Summer !!!!
I was up there looking for my John Cruikshank and Elizabeth Grant when I took this photo, but they weren't the right ones! Mine were married in Cromdale, Inverallan and Advie Parish on 22 Nov 1846 and had two children that I have found so far (son Donald Cruickshank b.30 july 1859 and died 6 Mar 1860 and daughter Clementina Mary Cruickshank b. 9 Sept 1856, my gg grandmother.)If your friend has any info on John and Elizabeth in her research I would be very grateful.I am stuck at the moment on their marriage certificate, parents, and any other children.I also have loads of other stuff on Mcqueens and Grants in that area too.But still haven't tracked down many of mine!
I have only just begun!!
I have also a really nice detail from an 1850 map which I have sent too, showing the area as it was then.
Enjoy!

Karen, thanks a million for attaching the pix. The map is wonderful and your photo of the Cruickshank gravestone at Old Inverallan is astonishing. When we've been there my Cameron gravestone pictures haven't come out nearly as well. How did you manage to get the entire stone in with such a clear image of the inscription? Do you have some extraordinary camera or just talent? :)

I enjoyed your vignette of people swiming in the Spey and running by the river. It was sunny but quiet when we were there in June -- a scattering of fishermen, and a kingfisher that flew over our heads. It's really a serenely beautiful place.

I noticed that the Cruickshank gravestone is afflicted with the same lichen-thing that grows on so many stones there. Don't know what it is, but my husband's family graves have a bad dose of it.

One favor to ask: Could you please forward both jpgs to my email address? Had trouble saving them from the message board, so would appreciate the backup. I'll pass the pictures and your questions along to my Cruickshank friend and to two other friends who have also been working on our joint family research.

Isn't it wonderful what the Internet makes possible: you in Malaysia, my Cruickshank friend in England, two Grant friends in Scotland and Canada, and me in the United States -- all of us working on interconnected Scottish families!

Thank you again for the photo and the map and your kindness in sending them.
Cheers,
Mignon

Hi again.
Yes isn't the internet amazing!
Sorry for not seeing this sooner.I will resend the photos you needed.
The lichen only grows where the air is very pure so that shows it is there. The granite stones faired worse than the sandstone , but I really don' know why; the granite being harder!
The camera wasn't super duper, just a cheap digital Fuji 101X and I got in real close.I also have phtos of graves in Advie cemetery and Cromdale too.I have transcribed the ones I photographed, mostly Mcqueen, Cruickshank, Grant ,Fraser and a few others.
Still stuck with this side of the family. So any help welcome.I have been clutching at straws for months now.
