Sync problems with FTM 2 for Mac

I guess I was too trusting of automatic sync and not vigilant enough about what was happening. My syncs were apparently duplicating individuals and records, back and forth. When I tried to go to a backup, I found that as far back as August 2012, this was happening, and I don't have a backup that is correct. Then, to make things worse, I deleted some dupes in my online tree instead of merging records from A-D (didn't know about that). Now, I may have deleted individuals, but the source information, etc., has been duplicated for the remaining individual repeatedly. This has happened not only for the originally duplicated individuals A-D, but for all their relatives. I am distraught and don't think I can save my file without days and days of recreation, etc. Just want you to know what happens. Learn about merging before deleting.

Don't be too discourage as most, perhaps some of us have had the same problem. Merge with Duplicates will correct duplicates but watch this process closely as well. Hope the newer version of Mac 2 FTM will "correct" some of these duplication problems which I too experienced. Takes a while to correct..Good Luck..
