What are suggested methods for saving a screen shot of documents (church register etc)

I am trying to figure out the best way to handle getting views of the actual documents. Many of the actual documents will open as a pdf document. When I save it as media, it saves the link to the internet source.

Is there a better way to handle this? I'd love to be able to use the 'screen shot' of the parish birth register, for example, as the lead picture on the family tree format, in lieu of actual person photos.

How can you save it as a jpeg?

thanks, all!

If you right-click on the document in question, do you get an option to save or download? If you do, that will give you a better quality image than a screenshot. Or, if you hover your mouse near the bottom, do you get the Adobe Save/Print/Enlarge buttons?

There are a number of programs - some free downloads - which can convert a PDF to a JPG or other image format, if you prefer.

It's also important to view any restrictions that may be posted on the website, about what use you may or may not make of the documents or images available there.
